Nanette,

Hi. Are you all native to the area? I have heard

it's hard for outsiders to move in to a closely knit

community such as yours, esp. if you aren't from the

south originally. What is your take on this?

I'm also considering a move in the future.

Jafa,

I moved here from Ohio when I was four, so I guess you could say I am a

native. However, it is a misconception that it's hard for outsiders to move

in to areas in the South. In the mom's group I " m in, there are only two

" natives " and the other mom's (and friends) are from Minnesota, Michigan,

and North Carolina (still " South " I guess). Three small farmers markets

(with approximately 20 vendors), EarthFare, a community food co-op, an

organic source of raw milk (DELICIOUS) at 7.00/gallon. Within an hour of

beautiful Smokey Mountain hikes, Blue Ridge mountains, Cumberland mountains,

white water rafting. What else do you want to know? You can email off list

if you'd like.
