Thank you.

Interesting that you are aware of Pavel. He's a kind of local hero here at

the house. We've got a bunch of kettlebells in the exercise room. I got

turned on to him when I started doing Body For Life exercise back in 2002.

Too bad I didn't implement his ideas sooner -- might have saved me the

shoulder surgery I had last Feb and the one I'm going to have on Tuesday.

_____

I have one kettlebell, the 53-lb one, but I need to get a heavier one. I

haven't used it lately, but have been alternating a 2-4-week k-bell cycle with

a 2-3-month gym cycle. I haven't read any of Pavel's books except the

_Russian Kettlebell Challenge_, but I've read a lot of his magazine columns (he

has

one in _Muscle Media_), which I've found helpful.

When I first started bench pressing about a year or 1.5 years ago, for

months I didn't go anywhere, after an initial spurt immediately after starting.

I

tried various programs, and then found one that Pavel wrote about in a

column and I made surprising gains that lasted for long periods of time.

I've been meaning to read _Power to the People_ forever but have not gotten

around to ordering it. He just came out with _Beyond Bodybuilding_ which I

feel like I must have, although it's pricey.
