I know a couple of guys that say they became very withdrawn after a DMSA challenge test. In fact, the test seriously messed them both up in many ways, apparently, by releasing too much Hg. I never heard of " over rifing " , hmmm. In any case, have you considered chelating? Or do you have amalgams? If you are amalgam-free then chelating should help you get rid of the metals. I follow Andy Cutlers DMSA/ALA chelation protocol. One of the guys mentioned above also follows it and it has helped him tremendously in relief of the terrible symptoms brought on by the DMSA challange test. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc. Guest guest
Hi, I chelated metals last year. Took about 6-8 months on cilantro pills pulsed between antibiotics. When the metals came out, I learned real well what the effects are of metals in my body. Yes, what you describe could be attributed to redistribution of metals in your body. In addition to personality cchanges, I also becakme unable to look at people in the eye, I became more obsessive and compulsive with very little impulse control. I really felt like I had gone over the edge and was feeling quite mad-hatter-ish... crazy. During the worst part of my chelation I had hallucinations. Depression, euphoria - just about any psycho symptom you can think of. And my dreams at night were most vivid and livid. God I can't tell you how glad I am it's over. Good luck and the most important thing to remember is that if you are chelating with something that crosses the blood-brain barrier, you will get thru it. If what you use doesn't cross the BB barrier, you may as well leave it. Anoter thing, if you have no metal stores in your body, you have little chance of getting cancer for cancer is NEVER present without heavy metals nearby. As you chelate, no matter how much you don't feel like it, you must eat regularmeals because they are excreted thru feces, urine and sweat. If you don't keep things moving in the gut, the metals redistribute. Good luck, it WILL PASS. *S* --- In , " REMOC " <REMOCLIHP@f...> wrote: > I see that others also have heavy metal issues. Guest guest
My amalgams were replaced years ago. Only had 3 but that was apparently enough to mees me up. I never heard of " over-rifing " until I did it last fall. Never again! Overloads the body especially with lyme disease. I've actually found that as I've gotten healthier (or less unhealthy, anyway) I've gotten more gregarious (or less withdrawn, anyway). -

Your doc, ND, DO or whomever, gives you a high dose of DMSA to take over a 24 hr. period and you collect your urine throughout that period. The urine is then tested for the level of Hg. One school of thought has it that this won't show your total body burden of Hg but only show the levels in your kidneys, IIRC. It seems like it wouldn't tell how much is in your brain cuz DMSA doesn't cross the BB barrier, at least according to most reports. This relatively high dose of DMSA or DMPS (which is also used) has been known to cause severe acute Hg toxicity symptoms in a number of people. One local guy was incapacitated by it. Only after many months of doing many types of Hg removal, most prominently - Andy Cutlers chelation program - he is getting better. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc. Maybe it is the prevailing wisdom. I should've said that it doesn't cross it according to *some* reports. I believe Cutler has said something to the effect that there is no reasonable evidence that it does. I haven't kept up with his work lately though, so maybe he's changed his mind. Although I doubt it. ALA does cross the BBB, however, and that's why he includes it in his protocol. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc.
