[DS] To transform myself into a positive, energetic, healthy and strong person.

3) Are you currently under stress & needing tools for handling the stress

better? Please explain.

[DS] Yes. I have some health problems which have not been responding to medical

treatments and I have found that most of them are due to my negative thinking.

4) What type of group are you looking for, & what do you expect to get out of

this group?

[DS] A group of people who share valuable information and discuss postive

thinking

5) How did you hear about our group, or where did you find information on it?

If it was through Yahoogroups, what topic did you look up to find us?

[DS] Through a search of yahoogroups

6) What resources, knowledge, or experience do you feel that you can contribute

back to this group?

[DS] My own experiences and any information available on the net. I am quite

good at searching the net.

7) IF INTERESTED, tell us the month & day of your birthday, so we can add you to

our birthday card list & Calendar. (optional)

10) *** This Affirmations Group is a safe haven for those who need support and a

better life. Some of our rules are: no putdowns of other group members (or

moderators), no unclean language or cussing, no arguing between members, no

attachments, and lots of support for other members when they need it. In other

words, if you aren't going to say something nice, please don't say it at all!

No advertising is allowed unless you have submitted a written request FIRST to

the group owner. It then has to be approved, and then can be posted. We allow

very little advertising (except for what Yahoo naturally does).

If you are quoting an article or book, please tell us the author, title, and

copyright information. We do not choose to break any copyright laws, nor should

you.

Within two weeks of joining this group, we require you to post or write ONE

brief email introducing yourself to the group. This way the group can reach out

and support you. If you want to write a more detailed introduction, that is fine

also.

After that, if you just want to read the messages, and not post any, that is

fine. We have people who contribute alot, and also those who just read and

listen.

Put the title of your talk, message, or article in the subject line of the email

you post. If you are replying to a previous email message someone else wrote,

please type in (reply) somewhere on the subject line. As far as snipping

messages goes, I'm not the greatest at that, and if I don't do it, I certainly

don't expect you to do that either. It might be a good idea though to snip some

of the previous message you are replying to IF IT WAS A LONG MESSAGE. This will

cut down on space in our archives.

[DS] Yes, I will keep the rules

Do you have any problems with keeping these rules? If so, please explain in

detail which rules, and why.

11) Any other suggestions, comments, or questions about this group?

12) We are not counselors, doctors, or therapists. We are just individuals who

are very compassionate and who like to help people. We have quite a bit of

experience in doing so.

We STRONGLY advise you to seek medical advice when necessary for any health

problem - whether physical or emotional. ONLY a Medical Doctor can diagnose &

treat your conditions (or symptoms). All we do is give you a little support in

the meantime.

13) We do NOT get paid for any of our advertising that we do as far as articles,

books, or other advertising. We donate our time for free, and all of us have

other jobs. We do try to check the web page site regularly though, between 2-3

times a day during the work week, and more on the weekends. We will ALWAYS get

back to you as soon as we possibly can. But, please be patient and realize that

sometimes it might take longer than you would like.

14) We will keep any info confidential that you ask us to. We thought that we

could help the group better if we knew more about what the members wanted, &

their backgrounds -- (this is the reason for the questionnaire).

15) Please fill out this form and send it as a reply to:

application as soon as possible, & after you have replied to these questions to

17) Remember, this is a support group that believes in positive thinking and in

sharing it with others. One of the reasons we ask these questions is so we can

serve you better. You can feel that you are a real person, and not just a

" number " or an " email address " . We hope to help you de-stress.
