Guest guest
Well, I went into the dr and got the fasting glucose draw done, and they haven't called me back which means they think it's normal. But I know better. I've been really fastidious about my carbs the last three days, and have been eating small amounts throughout the day--for now that will have to do until I get things settled down. Most important seems to be eating something pretty close to getting up. I have felt a lot better. So of course, what did I do today? Got up at 9, didn't eat anything till 11, and had a (gluten free) brownie at 1. Crash! Idiot. I'm still sleepy and dopey but at least my heart has stopped pounding. I don't even make brownies and stuff usually; yesterday was my oldest girl's 8th birthday and we made brownies because she's wheat sensitive too. That'll learn me. Anyway, I'm seeing the naturopath on Tuesday for thyroid issues and I'll be bringing this up with him. I'm going to continue to treat myself as if I'm pre-diabetic at the least. I've started eating tiny frozen bits of raw pasture-fed beef liver--someone's suggestion here to treat the piece like a pill and swallow it down still frozen. Seems to be helping but it's too soon to tell. Good luck with this issue. Sorry I can't be of more help... except to say... EXERCISE within your capacity. Deanna
