Clarification on New Affirmations Group Rules

I don't mind " occasionally " being a sounding board for people, but

just don't want to do it on a daily basis, or even several times a week for any

one person. Yes, I'm a great listener, and I really do care about people --

but, I'm not a counselor and don't feel comfortable doing therapy for anyone out

there.

Remember the words from the original questionnaire that gets sent to everyone

when they first join the affirmations group --

" 12) We are not counselors, doctors, or therapists. We are just individuals

who are very compassionate and who like to help people. We have quite a bit of

experience in doing so.

We STRONGLY advise you to seek medical advice when necessary for any health

problem - whether physical or emotional. ONLY a Medical Doctor can diagnose &

treat your conditions (or symptoms). All we do is give you a little support in

the meantime. "

And please let me emphasize this phrase again: " All we do is give you a

little support in the meantime. " This has always been the intention for group

members.

Again, let me emphasize that I do care, and I don't mean to push anyone away

from the group. I'm just at a point where I want us to get back to the basics &

work on being positive and doing affirmations. We can still chit-chat a bit

back and forth, if we limit it somewhat?! (If I could give you a smiley face

with a wink, that is what would go in this space).

Love & Hugs, PJ
