I won't be much help here other than to say that yes you can make a healthy tasty barbeque sauce. I have made my own but unfortunately I don't have a recipe for you. Guest guest Posted September 12, 2005 Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 I don't have a recipe either, but if you are looking for conventional taste you're going to need some kind of smoke flavoring. I've tried a few homemade BBQ sauces with my ever so fickle hubby to no avail - I think he misses the smoke flavor. On my fooddrying@ list there was a post about making homemade liquid smoke. It seemed pretty simple, just a distillation of smoke. I think the archives are open for browsing - I'm gonna see if I can find the message. Would homemade liquid smoke count as NT?
