All I know is I put one in an empty wide-mouth pint Ball jar and burned it down--and it looked *exactly* like what I'd been pulling out of my clients' ears: all ear wax-y and yeast-y looking. Maybe my kitchen hygiene is lacking? I also speculate that the chimney/suction action could be happening anyway and having a good effect. What matters to me is that you had palpable results. I had clients get relief from ear troubles, too, but I wondered later if it wasn't a placebo effect. Hearing your story makes me feel a lot better because for a time I wanted to refund everyone's money. I never had ear problems so I couldn't tell on myself. B. It's a gift. <g> Actually, though, I really don't know much about ear candles generally. >Maybe my kitchen hygiene is lacking? Maybe my experience was a fluke or I was mistaken, or maybe it's just that your ear candle had too much wax. Now that I think about it, though, I have a dim memory that the woman who gave me some also said something about mixing beeswax with something else and having to get that proportion right... or not. I don't remember, and we fell out of touch years ago. -
