Labour Day is the first Monday in September, and that Monday in October is Thanksgiving!!!! Guest guest
OK OK OK Waitangi Day celebrates the anniversary of the day in 1840 when the Treaty of Waitangi, commonly referred to as the founding document of New Zealand, was signed. It was a treaty between Queen , as head of the British Government, and the Maori ribal chiefs. It is called after the locale the signing took place at. This day has in the past been called New Zealand Day. Btw, we don't celebrate Memorial Day, but we do have a public holiday to celebrate ANZAC Day. On this day we celebrate the herioc deeds of the Australia and New Zealand Army Corp during the 1st and 2nd World Wars. We also have a day off, on the first day of June, to celebrate the Queen's Birthday. Queen , whose birthday is actually in April (or is it March), is the head of state for New Zealand. Guest guest
We dont have Waitangi, Memorial Day, ANZAC or Queen 's birthday. In May, when others have Memorial Day, we have a 3 day weekend for Queen 's birthday. Do you have Groundhog Day? lol! You probably dont need groundhog day! Do you get snow? -coyote > OK OK OK > > Waitangi Day celebrates the anniversary of the day in 1840 when the Treaty of Waitangi, commonly referred to as the founding document of New Zealand, was signed.
