That Townsend Letter article is great. Really informative and helpful.

Does anyone know where I can find hydrochloric acid without Pepsin in it?

The article made a good point: Even when you're not having a meal, your

stomach acid should have a PH of from 1.8 to 2.2 to keep bacteria from

getting too comfortable in there. (I had an H. Pylori gastric ulcer over a

year ago and still have no stomach acid to speak of.). The article

recommends taking HCl without pepsin for those times as the pepsin serves to

activate the digestion process and, over time, can irritate your stomach

unnecessarily.

I'm looking for an HCl without pepsin to keep stomach acid low and NOT for

its usual use -- facilitating the active digestion of food.

Anyway, I've looked all over the place and can't find HCl without Pepsin.

Any ideas?
