Guest guest
That Townsend Letter article is great. Really informative and helpful. Thanks for sharing it (I put the link below my message..) Does anyone know where I can find hydrochloric acid without Pepsin in it? The article made a good point: Even when you're not having a meal, your stomach acid should have a PH of from 1.8 to 2.2 to keep bacteria from getting too comfortable in there. (I had an H. Pylori gastric ulcer over a year ago and still have no stomach acid to speak of.). The article recommends taking HCl without pepsin for those times as the pepsin serves to activate the digestion process and, over time, can irritate your stomach unnecessarily. I'm looking for an HCl without pepsin to keep stomach acid low and NOT for its usual use -- facilitating the active digestion of food. Anyway, I've looked all over the place and can't find HCl without Pepsin. Any ideas? Thanks! ~Robin <http://www.townsendletter.com/July2004/unseenepidemic0704.htm> http://www.townsendletter.com/July2004/unseenepidemic0704.htm
