Guest guest
a new patient stole exam room stuff(pills and alcohol pad) while waiting at a urgent care center, the MA noticed, called the policeman come in. When I noticed, the policemen were already in the exam room with her. Should I exam her and treat her dermatology complains? I felt I should not. Because there was no physician-patient relation established yet. Now only criminal-victim relation, it is not appropriate to add physician- patient relation on it. We might have to be in court as witness for this criminal. Please shed light on this. I never heard this before. Thanks a lot. Helen
