son tested low in omega-6

We did a test that showed our son was considerably low in omega-6 fatty

acids (and slightly in the omega-9s, too). Our doc hasn't been much help on

supplementing for this. I'm thinking we should supplement with the Carlson's

lemon cod liver oil and evening primrose, OR flax and evening primrose, if he

won't do the flavored CLO, along with feeding him the food sources of EFAs. I

just can't seem to figure out the quantities. The whole idea of a correct ratio

of

3s to 6s has me flummoxed. Also, the doc says flax is very allergenic and

discouraged it, and since ds has already tested allergic to gluten, casein, soy,

peanuts, buckwheat and egg whites...

Any opinions or recommended sources would be greatly appreciated. Any

flavored brands known would be great, too.

Thanks!

Kathy
