Josie,

You are in my prayers, as are the rest of your family. It is a very

rough thing to lose your dad. And your daughters will make it,

hopefully being a comfort to you as well. Everyone needs their time

to grieve in their own way. Please take care of yourself physically

as well, we tend to forget about that in the process of caring for

everyone else.

Hugs,

Beth L.

Josie,

Even though I know that you have been going through the end stages with you

dad your post was still a shock to me. Please know that I am sending you

the biggest cyber hug and am praying for your dad and all of you.

For what it's worth, my gut told me that your dad is with 's grandad

now - I have learned over the years to always trust my gut feelings. They

are both free of this horrid disease and are happy.

Was so sad to read of the loss of your father. Over the past few weeks I feel

as if I have got to know a little of your father, and, if his daughter is

anything to go by, he was a wonderful man and father. I'm sure he will be

sorely missed.

You mentioned you are very sad that you weren't there when he took his last

breath. Don't know if this helps but my father died Nov 11 2001 on a Sunday

morning after he had had breakfast. None of the people he knew were there at

the time, and I personally took a while to deal with this. Please know that I

now know that that is the way he chose to pass on.

Thinking of you and your family in your time of loss.

Dear Josie,

I am truely sorry to read of the passing of your father. You and your family

have my deepest sympathy. This damn disease leaves so little for hope, and so

few options available other than our families, friends, and the wonderful caring

people in this group. Adolfo is at peace now with God, bless him.

Dearest Josie and Family -- Please accept my condolences as you

grieve at this time. Every family suffers through the loss of their

family members -- and so it is with this family of ours, our extended

LBD families if you will. We all grieve with you Josie, for those we

have already lost and for those we will soon lose.

I hope that you can feel good that Adolofo Batista no longer has to

suffer the indignities of the beast.

'Adolofo Batista' what a wonderfully magical name, a strong name, a

name you can be very proud of.

Be well and be strong Josie -- we need you in the battle!

I am sorry to hear of your loss. When my dad passed away I was not there

either. It bothered me alot until our minister asked me what I would have

done if I had been there. I said I would have told him that I loved him.

He asked me didn't he already know that? Of course he did. I didn't need

to say it for him to have known. My dad didn't have LBD but died from heart

failure at 62. I was 26 and was lucky to have known him for those years

quite extensively as I stayed home with my children and he lived next door.

He was semi retired and worked from home as a car mechanic. I never knew

your father and yet I can tell that he would have " known " somewhere deep

down where the LBD couldn't reach that you loved him with all your heart.

My condolences to your family,

Kath in Toronto

Dear Josie,

Please know that you are in my prayers. My deepest sympathy goes to you and

your family. Knowing that your dad is once again whole and at peace,

frolicking among the angels, may this bring you comfort during these next

few days. I, too, lost my dad on August 6 and am still missing him. But

knowing that he doesn't have to fight this horrible disease gives me great

comfort and helps me get through the days. May God be with you now and

always.

My heartfelt condolences,

My dad, Adolfo Batista, died today

Dear Beth:

I thank you and appreciate your prayers. My daughters have been

incredibly sweet and caring with me and my mom, who is staying with

us for the time being. I finally feel a little rested and began

eating well. Things are getting back to normal. God bless you,

Josie
