Get your $ back?!?!?!

Kris

what to do with sour raw cram

Hello,

I have 6 pints of raw cream that were suppose to show up frozen/2 day

delivery but instead showed up completely thawed 1 1/2 weeks later.

Supposed to be used for ice cream and whipped cream but too sour. Any

suggestions.

Thanks,

I agree. You paid for the shipping for a reason. rs are supposed to refund

your money if you don't get what you paid for.

Meanwhile, there are lots of potatoes you can make, and dips...you may have to

have a lot of parties.

How about cream cheese or butter?

I've had trouble with UPS in the past. I now know that they don't give

apologies or money if perishables are late. I also don't use UPS

unless I absolutely have to!

I did speak to UPS and because we paid for the 2 day delivery and UPS

failed to meet the 2 day delivery they reshipped for free and paid

for the new product also. I still have the original shipment

(soured) though and didn't want to throw it away as I know it can be

used for something.

I'd make butter and buttermilk. says buttermilk is superlative

for marinating meats. It's good to drink, too, of course. And the

price is, apparently, right.

Oh, ok, that's great! Did you look on westonprice site? I *KNOW* there's an

article on there involving what to do with soured cream/milk. I can't get on

the 'net at work or else I'd find it & send the link.

That's great that UPS gave you your money back and replaced the product for

free. After all, this amounts to damaged goods, and UPS is supposed to

reimburse customers for the damage.

I would try freezing some of the sour cream you don't use. In the

meantime...

Sour cream is great to add to sauces, at the very end. Chopped meat, onions,

peppers (if you can handle nightshades), zucchini (plentiful this time of

year)...and then thicken it with sour cream.

Or put some sc onto a tortilla.

You could probably also make a really good soup with minced clams, scallops,

shrimp, etc. It would be a kind of tangy New England clam chowder.

You can also sweeten the sour cream with honey and add enough coconut to

make the mixture into little balls. You can also buy raw chocolate, grate

it, and add it to the mix. Then freeze it; it could be really tasty treats.

Gosh, I wish I had some of your sour cream now....

Great ideas Nenah! Thanks. I'm off to check out the westonprice site

for the article Kris mentioned.

I must note here that 's personal definition of " cultured butter " is

being too lazy to wash it very well.

The buttermilk (sour) as a meat tenderizer, though, truly is superlative.

Everything connects. The universe is not THAT chaotic. Beauty can
