Guest guest
Hi Everyone: Me and hubby were talking tonight -- we have had the worst dysfunctional encounters ever during 2001 and 2002! The absolute worst!! (On both his and my side of the family!) Then the terrorists are like MORE nutty dysfunctional people!! Nothing like being afraid we're going to be bombed by an unknown, " secret " group of nutty dysfunctional people hiding in caves! But, ironically, the terrorists didn't even bring our dysfunctional families together!! The threat of war, of losing loved ones didn't even bring either of our families together! Now THAT, to us, is the most surprising irony of all!! Wow!! how dysfunctional can you get? We DO have BPD's on BOTH sides of the family!! And guess what -- it's NOT my fault!! And it's NOT hubby's fault!! Our hearts and souls have stood the test of much pain this year!! And yes, we've both taken it out on each other here and there -- but for the most part we're passing this " test " or this " challenge " with flying colors. We've managed to keep our self esteem FAIRLY intact; we've managed to work together even while we mourned our loss of our families as support systems they never were, and never will be! And mourned the loss of innocent american citizens who died in their work place, killed by an insane " enemy " . We've used the lessons we were taught in therapy, self help etc. No, we're not perfect, but we're doing pretty darned well!! 4 more months of 2002 -- and I hope it brings us more wisdom and fortitude -- bringing us to a higher level of spiritual awareness and teaching us to come to terms with " reality " ! I hope in this way we will ALL find a new kind of peace in our lives! Barb
