Guest guest
Anyone tried this program: http://www.rebuildyourvision.com/ I had PRK a few years ago to correct nearsightedness and astigmatism, but I was too young and my eyes continued to change. My eyes are still MUCH better than they used to be, but I have to wear glasses to see theatre, movies, drive, etc. Has anyone tried the program above or any other program/book that has eye exercises? It's only $79 and has a money back guarantee, but I'd love to hear thoughts on this stuff.
Guest guest
I don't know about the site you posted, but there's a wonderful book out by Quackenbush. Sorry I can't recall the title, but the author's name should be sufficiently unusual to make a search easy. It helped me (myopia, astigmatism), but then I got sidetracked into dietary issues, and I have yet to get back to that program.

From the looks of it, Rebuild your Vision is based on the Bates method, as is most of the other popular methods like See Clearly etc. After Dr. Bates published his book, he wrote numerous articles discussing what he learned since his book. Tom Quackenbush's book is a practical discusstion of what Bates recommends in both his book and his later articles. The vision programs based on Bates's earlier idea of strengthing eye muscles works, but must be maintained. " Releaning to See " , and Bates later work is really retraining your eyes/brain, so once retrained, you don't have maintain what you gained. He believes bad vision is largely bad unconscious habits that need to be unlearned and good vision habits relearned. I read about 5 books on the topic, and found Relearning to See to be the best. I went from -4.00, -4.00 to -2.00, -2.00 in about 2 years. My origional perscription was -2.00, -1.75. There aren't structured daily exercises, but habits to practice whenever possible. I didn't do any exercises, but just tried to use the vision techniques whenever I happened to think about it. Katy
Guest guest
> Anyway you could summarize and give us the Clift Notes on it? > > Thanks, > Fuzzy-eyed Angel > I don't think I could summarize it very well, but amazon http://tinyurl.com/6k8t8 will let you search inside the book and look at the table of contents.
