Today I let go of my desire for a quick, smart-alecky comeback. You would think that I'd be used to my 89 yr. old mother by now. She lives with a sister in another state and I'm lulled into a kind of forgetting. I know today that I don't have to act upon my first intense reaction. Bless them, change me comes to mind.
