Guest guest
> i just went to the liquor store...the Lagavulin is $100 per bottle!!!! > Hi That is pricey. I just bought some for $70 at bevmo but just two years ago the same bottles cost $50. This may be supply and demand and work but also it is the $US dropping against the euro. Laphroaig 10 is much cheaper and as 'medicinal' or more so than Lagavulin or Laphroaig 15 but it is not for the faint of palate. Look for it in a bar, it often shows up. cheers, J

(the one i bought is 12). if it's any good i'll buy a bigger bottle if it's not exhorbitant. probably a good idea to try laphroaig next time we are out to eat in a place with a bar. thanks for the suggestion. laura in nj

Not exactly cheap living here either. Ya, make a project out of it. Find a bar or restaurant with a good selection of single malts and try a few. Then you know what bottles you might like to buy. They really have varying tastes. To your health! cheers,
