Guest guest
Well..looks like the Hain's Sunflower Oil that I get at Wild Oats is only $2 more than the Rice Bran Oil (for 1/2 gallon) I can get online...and that's before s/h so It's actually LESS. So now I have to figure out which is healthier? If you have info, please share...and yes, I will be doing research on my own...not just asking ya'll alone. The Sunflower Oil has 9g polyunsaturated fat. And it says " Vit E ADDED " ...don't I want NATURAL vitamins, not ADDED ones? Let me know. The main thing I'm trying to find is the most economical AND HEALTHIEST too, oil to use for homemade mayo since that is what I use as salad dressing everyday for lunch. Thanks, Kris

It's also native to this country and not so likely to be a genetic freak. Only issue that should be considered otherwise I know of is that anyone but blood type A could be affected by the sunflower's lectins. I use some cold pressed sunflower oil and go through a jar of sunflower butter by myself every two weeks. It's my hunger abater while I'm waiting for supper to cook and snack go with. Coconut oil started to give me swelling around my eyes almost immediately. Must have been using too much at the time or built up reaction. Sunflower butter replaced most of that.
