Hi folks,

I would like to cook my chicken soup in a big 9 quart cast iron dutch oven. BUT

I would

like to cook the soup, let it cool, and THEN store it in my fridge, and just

dish myself out a

bowl of soup at a time while the rest of the soup remains in the pot, in the

fridge.

My question is: Will this work or will this cause my dutch oven to rust?

Thanks!!

I say rust. Is it possible to store in another large vessle in fridge?

Yes, I know you already considered that.

To B. and Belinda,

Thanks guys. I figured that it would rust, but just wanted someone else's

opinion since

I'm brand new to cast iron cookware. I appreciate the help!
