Isn't that a high carb drink? I mean the lactic acid will be converted to

glucose in the liver, right?

I would think it would make your diet non-ketogenic.

I'm not doing a ketogenic diet and so I am including EM brew in my regimine,

which is very similar to kefired molasses.

Too bad, because according to Dr. Shaw, this yeast has been found to have

strong anti-candida effects.

I'll continue using some ghee, since butyrate

Really? I didn't know that? Wonderful - I will load up on ghee myself!

I may cut it out once all my onions are used up, but what I will

probably do is let it ferment very strong and drink small amounts of

it.

Well it would decrease the ketogenicity dependening on the amount.

There's about 60g carbs/quart, so an 8-oz glass would have about 15

carbs, but if I let it ferment really strong it's probably really high

in probiotics, and I could drink 1 or 2 oz at a time.

Well that's what the pamplet on butter oil says.

Ok,

So my undecylenate/grapefruit seed extract/pau d'arco came in

yesterday, and it says to take one a day and work up to three twice

per day. So I took one twice yesterday, figuring since I was already

on antifungals for about a week I could skip ahead a little bit.

A little after I took the first one, my right eye became irritated.

Yes, it's possible this is coincidence, but now I've waken up early in

the morning to find I'm heading fast towards full-fledged

conjunctivitis. I haven't had conjunctivitis for over two years, I

don't think, but had it chronically right after my root canals for six

months, starting at the very same time my eczema started!

So is this die-off or what? Am I going to relive my symptomatic

history? Ack! I hope not!

The eczema on my hands is getting worse where it is but thank God it

is not spreading. The psoriasis on my scalp, on the other hand, seems

to be disappearing. It's still read in some places, but when I comb

my scalp nothing has been coming up the last two days, whereas usually

I get chunks of stuff.

I haven't been doing ketogenic but I'm going to start today for three

days. Just fat, basically no protein and the only carbs I'll have

will be small amounts of very-fermented mollasses-water, and maybe

I'll start a couple raw cloves of garlic too.

I've only just started to watch this board and saw your post.

Can you tell me if you have tried Candex? I've heard from several

sources that intensive garlic can alter flora balance. Anyone else

heard this? I've been fighting a similar overgrowth myself. I did

internal oregano oil, thyme oil, etc. , olive leaf extract,

grapefruit seed extract, artesimia etc... low-carb etc. blah blah

blah.

I'd be curious to know what your microflora counts are. Have you

performed any testing to determine this?

Never heard of it. What's in it?

I'm currently using several raw cloves a day in addition to lots of other stuff.

I think thyme just duplicates the oregano oil. Did you find relief?

How long did you use them for?

Nope. How do you do that? A stool test?

I have to admit that I wondered whether my numerous eye problems of late

were at all related to the various anti-fungals and whatnot that I've been

taking lately, though unlike you I don't have a history of eye infections.

What type of test was it? I am not sure that, for example, yeast in

the head, would show up on most tests.
