Guest guest
Hi : I too wanted " more " in my marriage once I began to figure out what the problem was in my family and how it was screwing me up! My husband and I saw a marriage therapist, and it really did help. We went for YEARS and it was worth it. I highly recommend it! P.S. The book " Love is A Choice " (about Codependents Anon) got me started. And the book " Getting the Love You Want " helped too. Barb He grew up in an alcoholic family and he doesn't like to make committments. He prides himself on not needing or relying on anybody. I knew it when I married him and at that time it was okay with me because of my KO issues. It was perfectly fine that we had a marriage where we each did our own thing all the time. It's probably one thing that attracted me to him. But now since I've been in therapy that's not what I want. I'm tired of each of us having > our own TV and always watching TV separately. I want someone to go to the > bookstore with me and browse. I want to feel a connection to someone. But > even though he doesn't connect emotionally he does nice things. For example > after dinner tonight he went to the grocery store and bought me some ice > cream. Right now I'm having trouble assimulating the two. My sloppy joes > became the be all and end all. But anyway you now have me thinking what can > I add to the meal next time that my husband and one son would like. > >
