I mis-remembered this. He was actually going after red meat and linking it

to studies indicating high cancer rates. Clearly stated that it should not

be eaten frequently. That was a real shock given what I was told when I was

in Chicago at his practice.

Really, really going away for the rest of the day....

Had an article out of Scotland to the opposite. Can't find it but did get

another fine article from Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients in my

Scotland beef cancer search

Looks like D and calcium deficiency Scots have with high colorectal cancer.

Scot Indians in article don't have any colorectal cancer. Celiac high in

Northern Europeans. Link Deanna sent last week by Steffanson re: cancer

appearing with grain use. Beef, no grain, calcium and D would be a safe

statement. All the other links coming up said of course, fiber, to avoid

colorectal.
