If that's the case, then why is Dr. Mercola singing his tune on his website? Last I checked, Dr. Mercola didn't buy into the " saturated fat is evil " dogma. Yet he teams up with people like Rosedale and Loren Cordain who are anti-saturated fat. You should see the lengths to which Cordain goes in his book to " prove " that paleo diet was low in saturated fats and the primitives ate only the lean cuts of meat. He recommends lean cuts of exotic meats - emu, rabbits, bear, ostrich, kangaroo, rattlesnake - come on ! I just don't understand Mercola these days. -Pratick ____________________________________________________ Sports Rekindle the Rivalries. Sign up for Fantasy Football http://football.fantasysports. This is an interesting question. A month or two ago Mercola had a newsletter item in which he clearly stated that studies show saturated fat is bad for you and should be restricted. I was kind of shocked by the whole thing as I thought that he was more NT than that. Now the Rosedale connection seems to be supporting his movement away from saturated fat even more. I know that I promised quite a while ago to write-up my experiences with Dr. Mercola and I still will get to it (I'm a slow writer and it's a long story) but I just want to say that despite some appearances to the contrary I think Mercola is an honest man and puts his real beliefs out there. So if he is now moving away from saturated fats I'd love to understand exactly why he is making that choice. Now I'm _really_ heading away from the computer for rest of the day... I took it same as cholesterol. Exotic meats aren't fully wild fed. Can't hunt and sell. BTW, insects are very high in fat. At a party recently I was offered chocolate covered ants. Was the only food I ate there. Felt strangely allergic next few days intestinally. Decided the ants maybe weren't eating anything too good.
