I have been meaning to post an article about the benefits of Scotch and other alcoholic beverages, like beer. Here is an excerpt: " So, when you travel, or even at home, never rule out an alcoholic beverage to correct a health crisis. The supreme example of this is Scotch, a hard liquor that health nuts associate with toxic businessmen. Scotch can stop a heart attack or stroke and save a life. I have seen it work -- it’s not a theory I read. " ###When Suze came to visit me recently, she used Port to correct a health crisis :-)### " Alcohol such as Scotch dilates the blood vessels INSTANTLY and provides liquid energy for the heart to resume beating. A medical doctor told a friend that her mother, who passed on from a stroke, would not have died IF ONLY they had some Scotch in the house, and had given it to her IMMEDIATELY. By the time that doctor had arrived at their home, it was too late. I don’t know if Scotch is different for saving lives than any wine or hard liquor, but it has a warming effect, and acts in seconds when seconds matter. " I also remember being told by old-timers that some of them would keep a cardiac-frail relative alive for years with tiny doses of Scotch daily. There is something with the peat, the organic regenerative source of all life, that is part of the power of scotch. Not the same with vodka or gin etc. The peatiest scotch and my favorite is Lagavulin, but it is about to go off the market because of some deal they did 16 years ago that is affecting current supply. Get a bottle now while you can. cheers,

Plus at BevMo I noticed it is no longer in the case and it is also starting to disappear from SF bars. The owner said something about a deal roughly 16 years ago because they weren't selling enough of their single malt so they contracted their scotch to ny . (ugh!) Nothing to do about it now because obviously a 16 year product takes time! Not sure when it will resume. Laphroaig is probably just as peaty and maybe even more medicinal but I liked Lagavulin more. I may try the older Laphroaig since all I've tried is the 10. Any recommendations? cheers,

Much smoother than the 10. I'd choose the 15 year old Laphroaig over just about anything that I've tried.

Yes Sam has some great stuff. > have you known about this guy for a long > time? Almost 20 years. He used to put out a newsletter called " Last Chance Newsletter: When Medicine and Alternative Health Have Failed You " or something like that. He has spent his whole career searching out doctors who were curing the " incurables " but for obvious reasons were keeping a very low profile since they were doing it in a politically incorrect way. Fascinating stuff. > did you just happen to stumble upon him on the web? Nope as I noted above. And I actually met him in the mid 90's at a medical herbalist training seminar. He was a surprise guest and got a standing ovation when he was introduced. Back in those days his newsletter was read in 1 out of every 500 homes in America. > are you planning on buying his course? i am. I have his earlier course, the Save Your Life Videos with Dr. Schulze. They are fantastic. I have no idea what this course is like since he and Dr. Schulze have had a falling out. But I do plan on buying it. > he really gives me hope...but then so has everyone else that's come > along before him. but i slept better last night after reading as > much of the web site as i could before bed than i have in > awhile...i've actually been trying to do what he says, which is to > follow my creator for guidance for me...i'm a believer but i find it > very difficult to find or receive that guidance tho it is what i long > for with all my heart. i'm tired of so many ways of eating and > healing...i don't know what's right anymore. > > would really like to hear your impressions of him. I admire anyone who looks the gubbycrats in the eye and says, " the hell with you, " people's lives are more important than your petty claims to power and the attitude that " you know what is best. " For three years I faithfully copied and redistributed his newsletter to any and all, and in that time span not ONE person asked me how to subscribe or made any comment really, and some were really sick. And some of those newsletters were simply outstanding. That is when I decided to change my approach. I wasn't going to try to convince anyone of anything, including my family, that was totally futile. Rather I was simply going to look for people who were already predisposed to the message. Anything else would be like trying to herd cats. Dr. Mendelsohn mentioned this in his book, _Confessions of A Medical Heretic_, years ago. You strike up conversations not to argue with anyone, but to find people following the same path as you. That was near the end of the book when he was talking about health and home birth. It was very inspirational. http://snipurl.com/fx2b Sam is sincere but like I said I can't vouch for his latest video. Dr. Schulze has much clinical experience. Sam has been a researcher most of his life. I know he has been frustrated because of some health issues with his wife over the years. I know that has driven him to some extent. We shall see what his latest effort has produced. Hopefully it doesn't reflect any bitter feelings because of his falling out with Schulze. I'm grateful because it was through him that I was introduced to Dr. 's most well known and effective student, Dr. Schulze. As for the right way to eat, you are on the right path. The WAP concepts are broad, and its general principles can apply to a plethora of dietary approaches, whatever works for you. If you can't find your way within this paradigm it will only be because you weren't really looking. As for healing, I would fast in your case, for awhile. Really. Drink at least a gallon of liquids a day. Juices, coconut milk/water, broths, lemon water, lenmon water with VCO, herb teas, water, they all will work. Give your body and your mind a chance to rest and heal. ***Stop thinking about food and what you can and can't do or don't want to do.*** After a few days hunger won't be a problem, and when it is drink more juice. If you are carrying extra weight (which you said you were) you should have no problem getting through a prolonged fast. And I think you said at some point you actually enjoyed the abstinence from food. Have massages done. Be active. Do a colonic once every couple of weeks ONLY while fasting. Indulge yourself with hydrotherapy. Pray and meditate. But I repeat, ***stop thinking about food and what you can and can't (or won't ) do.*** Once the fast is done check out http://www.brixman.com. And then apply that within the framework of WAP principles. That should set you on the right course. But I'm not a doctor, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Run it by a health professional who is sympathetic to your approach and situation. He/she may think I'm all wet. In the end you are the architect of your own health, and third parties can only assist you on that journey. And by all means NEVER lose hope. Once that is gone, nothing else matters. take care, ============================================================ " So this is how freedom dies -- to thunderous applause.
