Guest guest
I am not familiar with IRWE that Irma talked about but I do know that it is difficult to work and keep SSI in tact and when you become age 65, or whatever is going to be the retirement age, then your individual gets SSDI and that is more than SSI usually if the persons mom or dad worked a lot. Then when the dad or mom who is the largest wageowner dies there is sometimes money like an annuity that the consumer receives. My husband is deceased and worked for the post office so an annuity came to my son too. It was small but, when combined with the SSDI, made it impossible for him to work. The amount of both totaled is OK but if he earns anything, then HCS will be taken away. Just filling you all in on what I experienced. My son CAN NOT work. Well, yes, he is now better off than many but it is sad that I can't be creative in having him at least do volunteer work with the day hab money but creativity isn't allowed!
