He studied the Bantu, who, iirc, conquered most of Africa in the past and

radically altered the genetic stock of Africa, if that counts. And mass

extinctions occurred at the hands of humans by the *ancestors* of many of the

groups Price studied. I think I came across some other examples in _Guns,

Germs

and Steel_ but it's been a while.
