Guest guest
, The school said that he doesn't qualify for an IEP because academically he is too bright. It has been sooooo frustrating. They say if he had a problem with learning that would be different. They only did a behavior plan. They told me they did all they can with the behavior plan and it didn't work so because he is not from Temple ISD they were revoking his transfer. He has been picked on everyday by kids but of course that is nothing new. One time he got upset when he was being bullied and said he was going to bring a bb gun to school. Of course that didn't go over well. Then with this last incident he was screaming really loud in the hall and they took him to the Counselor's office. She asked him what he wanted to do when he grew up. He said design video games. She asked what kind of games and he said ones where you can blow up a school and Principal. Well, that was very alarming for the school. I asked him about it and he said he wouldn't hurt anyone he was just upset. The other statement he said was because he wanted them off his back. He is such a kind and loving child so I was shocked that he would ever say such a thing. I have a feeling this is the main reason they kicked him out. I have begged schools to give him an IEP so he learn social skills and get occupational therapy and what ever else he needs to learn to control himself when he gets picked on but no one wants to help. They just want to do a behavior plan. They never work. It's frustrating because NO ONE knows anything about Asperger's and they all just get burned out. I don't know where he is going to go to school now that this will be on his permanent record. No other district will take him. I just can't send him back to the school here in Salado because of the Principal. She has said so many HATEFUL things about him.
