Guest guest
You can do either of all 3. If you have insurance, its worth trying to get the ped to order one. Allergy testing..... I would like to know how does this works. I believe my son hasserious food allergies. Would I have to order the test through a DAN!dr. or can I just purchase the test my self or can I ask thepediatrician to do an allergy test? Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage. Guest guest
Most peds offices don't have a very comprehensive test, though. Our peds office was floored when I brought in our allergy panel for the files because he couldn't believe how many foods were tested. He said the best they could do was probably something like 8 foods. You can get your ped to sign off on an order from Great Plains or Meridian, though and send it in yourself. The test kits are free but I don't think there is any company that will run it without a doctor signing the order in the US. CherylYou can do either of all 3. Guest guest
I just did it and there are a lot of things that they test for including things like mustard, garlic, some preservatives. It was quite interesting. Along with the test, they have a diatician who will call you to work your through the diet.
