Guest guest
A couple of years ago my son got a small square recording device with his kids meal at Burger King that looks like Sponge Bob and it's still working today. It's a really cool little gizmo that is similar to a GoTalk Button. It will record sound up to 10 seconds long, and has a play back button. My son loves to play with it so the day it finally stops working I'm going to order a GoTalk button, which retails for $12 on the Internet. My son is highly verbal but I wanted him to pretend play more so I bought him a couple of toy Echo Mics. They are made out of plastic and don't require batteries. I ordered them from a web site I have saved on my computer at work so I don't have the URL on my home computer but I can post it on Monday. With shipping the cost for 2 was between $10 - $12. I just searched for them on the Internet and only saw them on Ebay but I know there are toy companies that sell them too. My son will stand in front of the mirror sing, talk and act silly using the mic. This is a description of them: This microphone echos the sounds and words produced by children using it. A great educational toy... fantastic for kids with speech disorders. Fun for everyone. Does NOT require batteries. Jump start your child's singing career with this fun toy. Perfect for kids' parties. Echo Mic is exactly 7.5 inches long. For ages 3 and up. CReece
Guest guest
Check out dynavox they have many speech devices that are great!! ginam wrote: I am looking into speech devices for my non-verbal son. He has a great receptive language and can sight read. I would appreciate any recommendation. Is there someone specialized in showcasing the different devices and outlines the difference, say a dealer for example. I am sure the public school has such a service but since my son is not enrolled, we don't get any advice from the school. Thanks, --------------------------------- Need Mail bonding? Go to the Yahoo!
