How 'bout bean bags?

I always wanted to furnish my home in all bean bags when I was younger.

Although I suppose that might have the opposite effect on posture.

heart which burns with love for every creature: for human beings, birds, and

animals, for serpents and for demons. The thought of them and the sight of them

make the tears of the saint flow. And this immense and intense compassion,

which flows from the heart of the saints, makes them unable to bear the sight of

the smallest, most insignificant wound in any creature. Thus they pray

Hi Tom:

I called the company and got the Sportsbacker upon their

recommendation because of my height/weight.

Can you use it while sitting in a regular chair? That's mainly what I'd use one

for.

There are no regular chairs in my home.

Imagine generic chairs with no arms that are used at hotel conferences

and events; It keeps your posture in good form, and prevents you from

slouching, and provides support from long hours of sitting.

Don't know much about bean bags.

I like things in my home to have 'form and function' and bean bags

maybe just make it into the function component...maybe.

So does this Nada Chair really work? How long have you been using it

and do you think it will get old and you will put it aside or does it

relieve you of so much pain that you just know that you don't have that

choice. Is that why you purchased it to begin with. Were you having

back pain?

Hi :

I am not in any pain. And, as I read my previous post, I realize that

I was not vey clear. From their homepage " All Nada-Chair back support

belts effectively prevent slouching while relieving back pain related

to prolonged sitting. Nadachair lumbar support cushions improve

posture by using the knees to keep the pelvis stabilized in an upright

position. " http://www.nadachair.com/products.html

I purchased it merely to try it out as another member on this

newsgroup, Anton [MAP] uses this product wherever he

goes. My job requires that I sit most of the day, (in fact, if I

hooked myself up a catheter I would probably never have to leave my

desk). I see it a supplemental tool to support my back and posture due

to long periods of sitting.

Hope this is more clear. vsp

[Tom] Are you guys talking about the Back-Up $60 " chair " or which

model? http://www.nadachair.com/products.html

[vsp] I called the company and got the Sportsbacker upon their

recommendation because of my height/weight.

[MAP] Hi , I'm glad to hear of your success! It seemed like to

total miracle to me at first. I still love it, but I realize it's

still no substitute for standing and changing position frequently, and

I try not to rely on it too much. I'm still building my standing desk

and working towards a standing-based lifestyle... In some situations,

though, it still feels like a miracle!

Tom, yeah, it's that Back-Up I have. Probably for average-sized men

that would be the best fit.

[Tom] Can you use it while sitting in a regular chair? That's mainly

what I'd use one for.

[MAP] Yes, definitely.
