The readings I've gotten are around 10 or 11, but these cows were also fed

grain along with the grass. And I have no idea what the grass brix was, but

pretty low would be my guess.

---Hello Suze, Our fresh warm milk a few days ago was 11.5. Our cow

has been in a dry lot around 6 weeks eating alfalfa and grass baled

last summer and getting around 3/4 gallon of ground hulled barley

daily. Was wondering of others milk values for comparison. Today I

got to put the cow out on fresh green wheat pasture so she'll start

giving more milk soon unless it rains or snows tonight as the

forecast indicates. Dennis
