I don't know what to do anymore. My son is 5 1/2 years old. We've had

him on GFCF diet since July and had been working with a DAN dr. who

gave him pre biotics, probiotics and various nutritional supplements.

He changed his protocol 1 time. And then I changed it one more time

because I felt the amount of B6 was too high.

So he's currently taking Zinc, Kirkmans thera response(hyperallergenic

one) acidophilus and calcium.

He has the dark circles under his eyes that so many of you talk about

but he has never had any GI issues ( problems going or having the runs

etc).

To the average person-my son does not look like he has any problems,

in fact he is attending regular school with no support. He does not

have an official diagnosis and no one has even brought up any concerns.

With my background however, I know there are concerns.

Anyhow,I've looked into the SCD and have tried to limit the amount of

carbs that he is getting.

Even that does not seem to help. He comes home from school, and stares

off-makes there weird noises, laughs at himself, recites lines from

movies.

When I " work " with him one on one he seems to understand & focus but

it's hard to engage him otherwise. I feel like I'm constantly having

to initiate the interaction.

My husband doesn't agree with me and seems to think that alot of the

behaviors our son does is typical 5 year old stuff. I don't though.

We were going to give the diet/protocol 9 months. I don't know what to

do. I feel like time is running out.
