Guest guest
, I know you will get a lot of responses about dentists but I want you to know that has gone to Dr Danny Watts since he was little and they are great. He has an office north and one south. Just tell them he has autism and they will give you an appt that is a time when it is quieter and they have more staff on hand. has always done well at the dentist. Ask for Dr Watts to be the one who does the cleaning as well as the exam so that it will go faster. Let me know how it goes Levine Dentists I know others have asked this before so I apologize, but we need the name of a dentist in Austin who has good experience with children with autism. We took Tristan to a Dr. Balboa a while back because she was willing to see him but after several visits she could not check his teeth with the explorer, take xrays, or even polish his teeth. C. Guest guest
This is interesting because we went to see Dr. Watts and had a whole different experience. I found him to be cold and impatient. This was not someone who I thought had the time energy or patience to deal with my young autistic child long term. He was recommended to me by my pediatrician at the time so maybe it was just an off day. We see Dr. Sherwood in Austin. He is the kindest most patient man I have ever met. It took several appointments to even brush my child's teeth there at the office. We do much better now and we have done several oral surgeries with him as well. Good luck. Guest guest
Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. We've gone to Dr. Watts' office since was a pre-schooler. Things have changed a lot over the years at the north office and it does seem like it was less personal. We started using their south office about a year ago and I am very impressed with the dentist (sorry his name escapes me) and office staff we've seen there. If you live south, I'd certainly recommend trying that one instead. Brown and Trina Sherman wrote: This is interesting because we went to see Dr. Watts and had a whole different experience.
