Guest guest
Read the following on antiviral use and regression. It may help. http://www.talkaboutcuringautism.org/medical/comprehensive-anti-viral-autism.htm Re: Getting Concerned! >> After starting the antivirals and antiyeast a couple weeks ago I am > seeing some concerning behavior in my 3 and half year old. Guest guest
sounds like yeast is getting worse or resistant to what you are using Recovering from Autism is a marathon NOT a sprint, but FULLY possible! Read more about it on my Blogs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelking Getting Concerned! After starting the antivirals and antiyeast a couple weeks ago I am seeing some concerning behavior in my 3 and half year old. Can anyone tell me if this is die off or is something else going on: His stemming is way worse, probably the worst I have ever seen it. He as had been really with us for months and now he is so so spacey. He was sucking on his blanket and he has never done that before. He has never had big sleep issues now its big and bad. He went poop once a day now he is constipated all the time. I don't know what is going on but I was hoping some one could advise me a bit. Guest guest
Don't use charcoal when constipated. The toxins have to leave the body so if you are using charcoal while constipated, it's not leaving but getting redistributed sitting there in the bowels. CherylHave you use activated charcoal to help absorbing the toxins??You should consider high dose of probiotics to help the bowel movement and fiber. My son also has stimming, mood swing on antivirals, but he is ok after 1 week. Could this be that his serotonin is dropping on antivirals???You could try to slow it down... by cutting the dosage. If its not working, may be you should consider to change the type or brand of the antifungal or antivirals, its possible that your kid cannot tolerate certain content of the antifungal or antiviral you gave. In my case, I use Milk of magnesia if he doesnt have bowel for 2 days, and if its not working I use glycerine suppository. Hope this helps,Yuliana Re: Getting Concerned!>> After starting the antivirals and antiyeast a couple weeks ago I am > seeing some concerning behavior in my 3 and half year old. Guest guest
FOS in threeLac can feed bacteria like clostridia - they sometimes move in where yeast has vacated. Try Berberine Complex per Dana on this list or alternate in a different antifungal...up the probiotics as well as night on an empty stomache. Guest guest
It sounds like viral replication. I would stop the Valtrex for now and spend some time doing a better coverage of the basics - all round body support. Then begin some methylation support, and then retry the Valtrex much better supported, and hopefully in a better place. Guest guest
I think what you're seeing is what's called a healing regression. Read about antiviral therapy on the TACA website. You have to get through the bad to see the good. But most importantly, you should be asking the doctor who prescribed the meds for his advice. Re: Getting Concerned! It sounds like viral replication. Guest guest
I think the yeast or bacteria and the healing regression ideas should be explored first...we dropped Valtrex for four days when my son had the flu...and we SO regret it as once off we realized what it was doing for him, and now we wonder if we have allowed for a resistance against valtrex to happen...we will need to watch his titers to tell I suppose. Chnge antifungals, up the probiotics for two more weeks, and consider a 2 week run on Berberine complex for bacteria esp since you have been on ThreeLac which feeds certain strains of bacteria via FOS. When I talked to stan about his son he said there was a period right before the BIG gains where he was " scared " and his son looked " more autistic than ever " and then he started to get better and his development took off. Courage. He is not being self injurous...so hang on. Stan's advice to us when we were thinking the same thing of Matt was sometimes less is more, but with this disease MORE is MORE IMO...hit this thing with a bat Diane....up the change your antifungal strategy ASAP, do NOT stop the antiviral, really watch the diet right now and cut it all back to the essentials...NO sugars, starches or carbs...do not feed the pathogens....p the probiotics to more than once a day and HANG ON for a few more days. That was GOOD advice. Sadly the flu derailed our keeping him on the Valtrex as he thrw it up along with everything else for four days....but this could be the healing regression that so many of us hope for...good luck. keep us posted.
