Guest guest Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 A steroid will only reduce the symptoms, it will not make the polyps disappear, and will not cure any infection if present. Surgery is usually done to remove the polyps, which can cause recurring sinus infections due to inadequate drainage. Rifing will definitely help any infection that could develop from the sinuses not draining properly. ge www.livingnow.net/gevans bluesky wrote: I mentioned last week that I was going to have a CT scan on my sinuses. Also said that a nasal steroid cold help, even though I told them at the appointment that I have adverse reactions to those, and that the worst thing to do with advanced chronic Lyme is to take steroids. Anyway, what do you'all know about this? Just yesterday I tried 5 minutes of 2112 on my EMEM2D and thought I'd do it regularly. Now I don't know what to do. My understanding is that 2112 is for sinus infections and/or inflammation. Polyps/cysts are something different. Does anyone have any experience or ideas concerning sinus polyps and cysts? They didn't mention whether or not the scan showed an infection or liquid filled sinueses as well. I am not pleased! And I'd really appreciate some feedback from the rife perspective. Thanks so much. Guest guest Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 I'm not sure what they are.. I have a few theories as to what they might be, but when I had hemerhoids, I noticed them improving after I improved my diet (staying away from sugar, and white flour products, and anything that had an ingredient in it that I couldn't understand - like nitrates, msg, etc..)... > > I mentioned last week that I was going to have a CT scan on my sinuses. > > Now that I've had it done, the doctor's office left a message today and said > that I have sinus polyps/cysts. Guest guest Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 Dear Ian, I appreciate this info. Unfortunately I don't have a contact machine and adding anything to this EMEM2d is not a possibility. I imagine I'd do the same frequencies anyway. Right? I'm quite wary of starting with anything more than three, maybe 5 minutes. My introduction to rifing is for Lyme and have had herxing from just two minutes per frequency. Although when I'm doing a regimen of rifing I do 10 minutes of 10K. Thanks. I could start drinking it. hahahahaha. Really, that's great to hear. A friend said that her polyps shrunk when she stopped taking Alleve. I'm looking into all the things I can do to stop food and airborne irritants affecting my nose and sinuses. It's going to take a lot of work. There are major allergens and irritants I struggle with eliminating or diminishing. Good for you in letting go of that soda. Did you have any problems after that? Deanna Quote
Guest guest Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 , I found what you wrote very interesting. Today I learned more specifically that the radiologist called it a small retention cyst in my left maxillary, inferior aspect. Well, well, well. I always thought the pressure I felt there, and before abx treatment for Lyme, muscles twitching and odd nerve sensations, was all Lyme related. After years of abx treatment I no longer have the twitching. However, whenever I have a Lyme flare or herx, my face in front of the maxillary sinus bothers me. At the same time I developed worse sinus and nasal symptoms my eyes seemed to be reacting either to severe allergies or some sort of infection. Dr. diagnosed conjuncitivitis. Tood some erythromycin ointment and it seemed to help, but the skin in the inner corner of my eyes became more and more irritated from that Rx ointment. So I went back to using colloidal silver. That seems to help, but I'm just not doing it frequently enough. Nor am I doing enough of the other things that will help: H2O2 in ears, and flushing sinuses a full four times a day, either in sink with salt, or a douche with Alkalol. Feeling very sick and exhausted, I'm barely able to shower, cook, eat and do a couple hours of work a week, let alone do a day's worth of health routines. But the routines are what will get me better: Rifing Changing what I eat etc, etc. Anyway , are you saying you think that the sinus cyst was a cluster of Lyme cysts? I was thinking something like that this morning when I read some info @ sinus cysts online. I wish there were a way I could bust the cyst open. My major symptoms from Lyme are brain and nervous system. I have not been using my EMEM machine regularly for a long time. I don't have Nenah Sylver's nor Rosner's books. There is no money in my pocket to buy them. So, I'm trying to learn from others what they do for these ailments. , what have you found successful in terms of a rifing regime for Lyme and related unpleasantness? Thanks, Deanna Hyatt wrote: > I had surgery to remove the cyst, which I believe was a cyte colony, but no > one could confirm, just as other lyme tests proofed worthless. Guest guest Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Deanna: It all sounds so familiar with your condition. Did you see an ENT yet? He will probably recommend to remove the cyst. I would do so if he suggests, if it is a Bb colony, it may have become a small bacteria generator/haven. I would also recommend a biopsy to see what pathagen resides there, being aware that you suspect Bb. The problem you face is that depending on the location and size, it could block normal drainage and promote other bacteria growth such as staph, etc....... After my surgery, which is very minor, I got extremely sick, which also makes me think that cutting the cyst released the Bp into the blood stream. It all kind of came together at the point from my perpective. I did the sinsus flushes prior to the surgery using a what he recommended; it was an attachment to a water pic at the lowest setting with a saline solution. It was very helpful to keep other bacteria out and improve drainage until the cyst was removed. I would recommend a Doug coil device when the budget gets there, it penetrates the sinuses/head very well, the EMEM just dosen't get deep enough. bluesky wrote: , I found what you wrote very interesting.
