Guest guest
There are 2 Rallies/Advocate Days scheduled in Austin. I would suggest that as a start - you attend one of them, make appointments that day to meet with whoever represents you, and join in for a show of numbers. You may not agree with everything they are Advocating for that day -- but certainly the show of numbers for " Disability Issues " will be noticed. And at your meetings that day - you can leave a flyer of your talking points and needs. Look at the Calendar of Events on www.TexasAutismAdvocacy.org. One is Capitol Day on Valentine's Day One is Families Unite on March 12th If someone on this list would like to take charge and organize a 2008 " Texas Autism Advocacy " Rally in Austin - I would be happy to earmark Calendar Sales from Texas Autism Advocacy listmates - to pay for permits, water that day, etc. Sincerely, Guppy M. Texas Autism Advocacy: www.TexasAutismAdvocacy.org " There are some aspects of a person's life that we have no right to compromise. We cannot negotiate the size of an institution. No one should live in one. We cannot debate who should get an inclusive education. Everyone should. We cannot determine who does and who does not get the right to make their own choices and forge their own futures. All must. "
