" Raw ghee " is kind of an oxymoron, but unfortunately the term has caught on.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that the so-called raw ghee on the

market is the same as (or as good as) Price's butter oil. I believe it's

centrifuged just enough to remove the milk solids, whereas IIRC Price was

actually isolating a specific fraction of the butter, and based on the

color of the butter oil I got, I don't think it's coming from optimum soil

fertility either.

Sheesh. How hard can it be to build a centrifuge? Take a motor, add a couple of

cans on gimbles. Melt some raw butter gently, put them in the cans, and spin!

I'll bet old centrifuges come up on auction now and then ...

But a person would need some nice grass-fed cream to make some

butter which I don't have. Science fair coming up? Sounds like a

good experiment to me!
