Guest guest
I know that we shouldn't bring politics into our discussion in this group, but on the other hand it is the politicians who hold the keys to our children's future in a way. This is an excerpt from an Austin Statesman article from the Sunday paper. I am going to vote for Carole Strayhorn because I believe we will have her ear about our children's issues and I like that she is fighting the Trans Texas Corridor that threatens our fabric of life here in Texas, as well as will cause the loss of property and homes for many thousands of us. http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/10/01/1strayhorn.html >In the meantime, Strayhorn repeatedly attacked and the Legislature, accusing them of spending too little on education, not cutting property taxes quickly enough and reducing benefits available through some low-income health care programs while making it tougher to stay enrolled in the programs.< www.corridorwatch.org This will be my last word on politics but the only televised debate of the Gubernatorial Candidates is this coming Friday, on ABC, at 7:00 p.m. I have never gotten so involved in an election or felt so strongly that this is a pivotal time for all of us.
