Guest guest
I will say a hearty amen to that! I have a mini deep fryer that does great fries, chips, and it produces a tasty deep fried chicken with crispy skin without the use of flour. Well, probably no one here has one, but you'd think there is a way to adapt this ... maybe into oven fries. If you baked thin potatoes long enough they'd get crispy?<<< I was going to buy a Forman Grill before I learnt that I didn't want to drain the fat, afterall. Instead, I bought a flat sandwich press that I use a lot as a frypan. It's great because it's deep enough to cook things in fat and it cooks both sides at once. I normally tip it up and pour the fat and juices over the meat and veg on the plate once it's cooked. It is good for cooking thin veggie crisps. The only draw-back is that it's teflon coated :-( Cheers, Tas'.
