Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Is there anyone here on the list who has had their child in school who was not making progress for years and then started an in home ABA program and your child has done extremely well mastering hundreds of goals at home vs only a few at school? We have done this with our children the past year and I am really getting depressed about sending my daughter back to school for them to use methods that do not work for her. She is severly autistic and seems to just hate school. She cries and has many behavior problems at school. They made some changes last year but it didn't improve her situation very much at all. We know what works for her to learn here at home but it just doesn't happen at school. I am not looking forward to having to fight when the right thing for them to do is obvious but they will probably avoid doing a BCBA supervised one on one ABA program with her at school. Has anyone had any luck with this at all? Thanks for your help.
