Guest guest Posted December 25, 2007 Report Share Posted December 25, 2007 Caroline, I’ve just started my son on it a few days ago and for the moment I just don’t see anything changed...I was wondering whether to increase dosage (he is at 10mg per day) but I’ll wait until holidays are over because he is not at his best during this time (cakes, biscuits super GFCF but still adverse reactions). Matteo and Adam seem to be on the very same bio med journey!! I hope they cross the line together! We just started also few days ago but on smaller dose only about 1mg and i was told to up it to 1/4 tab in 7 days tab 10mg are you on ammonia support also? Are ye on EDTA also ? We have just started Dmsa Ala 1 mt ago i dont know if it is ok to do both together? Guest guest Posted December 28, 2007 Report Share Posted December 28, 2007 Hi Caroline, Yes I think we are in synchronicity...Matteo is also supposed to start EDTA suppos asap + ALA gel. ..god when I see your dose I feel ashamed I tried 30mg today because I read you can give about 5mg per kg body weight (so that would be about 80mg per day)...Our DAN first said to start with 10...but she is generally overdosing everything, and now I think I’d better cut it back tomorrow. Anyway he was just his usual self today, I could not see any difference. What is ammonia support (Yasko?). Do you also give 5HTP (i hear it is often recommended if you take BH4) or folinic. Matteo reacts super hyper on folinic (so now our DAN asked to do genetic test). Honestly I must admit I don’t get it all with that BH4 stuff...what effect are we supposed to see (increase in biopterin I read but I don’t know what biopterin does either). Yesterday I took a look at www.tetrahydrobiopterin.org and my conclusion is that if you miss it that stuff is obviously important but all that body chemistry is too complicated for me. Are you seeing any improvement since you started the chelation? My husband is so impatient, he is really waiting for the miracle thing you know, the big wows...(and he kind of fails to notice small gains).
