Week four of MB12 shots and nut much gains

Hello everyone,

My son has been on the MB12 shots for 4 weeks, every third day with out

folinic acid and I have not seen too much improvement. I noticed a bit

better eye contact and attempt to use 4 word sentences and even

sometimes will say stuff that I have no idea what he means. Like he is

trying to have a diologue but no real words como out. Does this mean

that he needs a higher dose? I don't think is the timing of the shot

but the dosage cuz I have not noticed a difference on the third day

when the shots are the most worn off. Do you guys think he needs

folinic acid to get better absorption?

Hi,

My son didn't see any gains until week 5 after starting the

shots. Also, he acted very loopy and stimmy until I added folic

acid at week 4. At week 5, he started putting his underwear on by

himself out of the blue (and with no prompt). On that day, he also

used the potty by himself for the first time.

Two things: first, have you done Dr. Neubrander's Parent Report Form? You should, at regular intervals (you download it from his site). Second, your son sounds like my dgs. We could see the shot go through stages. He was hyper the first day, mellow and gaining the second and old behaviors came back slowly on the third day. This all stopped when we went to a daily shot. fina, it sounds like he is making gains...those babbling conversations of trying to talk about something is a great sign...it is much like when a baby first learns how to talk...we went through that for awhile. Once a child gains language, you can build on it and even though it may seem like gibberish, he is trying to express himself...which is social. How much folic acid do you give? My son is on FolaPro

but I've read so much about the shots and folic acid.

Right now his DAN doctor wanted to try it with out any folic acid. He wanted to see how he would do with just the MB12. I do think that if we add it to the shots he would do better. That is my gut feeling. WE have a phone consult in about a week or two and Iwanted to see what the group's experience was so I have some good questions for the doc. I'm sure he will add it though. Like I said we've seen some gains but not too big.
