[Dear PROVE Members,

Election day in November is coming fast. Tomorrow - Tuesday 10/10 - is the

deadline to register to vote in the state of Texas. There are many offices that

are up for election where some of those competing for the seat have views that

could be detrimental to your right to refuse vaccinations or other

pharmaceutical drugs for yourself and your children. If you are not registered,

you can easily print the form online at www.sos.state.tx.us/elections and follow

the instructions to mail it. It has to be postmarked by Tuesday October 10th.

More on the election and issues to come later. Thanks! Dawn]

Tuesday is deadline to register for November election

Associated Press

AUSTIN — Tuesday is the last day to register to vote for the November general

election.

Registration forms can be picked up at local Department of Public Safety

offices, local libraries and at the Secretary of State's office. Residents also

can sign up at a local voter registration office.

Applications are available online at www.sos.state.tx.us/elections as well.

The applications must be either hand-delivered to the county voter registrar by

Tuesday or postmarked that day.

In Texas, voters will be choosing a governor, lieutenant governor, U.S. senator,

attorney general, comptroller, land commissioner, agriculture commissioner and

railroad commissioner. They also are choosing state and U.S. representatives,

Supreme Court justices, Court of Criminal Appeals judges and candidates for

numerous local offices.

About 13 million Texans were registered to vote as of last week, said

Haywood, a spokesman for Secretary of State . That accounts for

about 78 percent of the voting age population.
