Hi ,

Not that I am an expert on all this, but to me, it sounds like a

virus. How much Vit C are you giving? I know they say you can up

the Vitamin C(you will know if it is too much, will cause diarrhea).

Twinlabs makes a corn free Allergy C that you can try, made of sago

palm. Cold sores are viral, sometimes herpes, my son has high

herpes 6.

You can have titers drawn(bloodwork) to see what is going on, maybe

someone can suggest other testing for you to see about viral

infections.

Help! Cold sores on sons upper lip--Viral????

Hi,I'm new here and to all this. I have a 10 year old son who's on the spectrum. Every time I give him vitamin C he gets a runny nose. Recently I gave it to him again (the fourth time in a year and a half)and again he got a runny nose but this time I didn't stop giving it to him and he got a head cold (never gets more than a runny nose ever)and now he's got these horrible looking cold sores on his lip (and nose, which really yuks me out!)I stopped the vit. C (was told maybe the runny nose is due to an allergy to the corn in the C)and now we're working on getting rid of these nasty things. Could this be him releasing a virus? How do I test for viruses?? I want to heal him so badly.Thanks so much,

Thanks for the info--what blood tests do I need to ask for? I want

to check for all viruses. THis is so interesting--I think this might
