Why Epsom Salt bath is important during the anti-viral therapy

Can you tell me why epsom salt bath is important during the anti-viral therapy? I just know epsom salt bath is good for the kid who has problem with phenol.

My son just started Valtrex. I'd like to know whether I should give him epsom salt bath or not.
