Guest guest
I hate to ask more questions but what probiotic are you giving? I think probiotics are just as important as the antifungal. Why don’t you give us the supplement rundown and anything you’ve changed in the last 24 days in terms of supps. Bacteria might be an issue. Goldenseal might be something to give for a week or so to see if it is bacteria. I would definitely not start chelation until you got the gut back under control. So whether or not you are doing Valtrex or chelation you need to reevaluate the gut. But like I said before the healing regression part can last up to 41 days and you aren’t there yet. So I would stick it out (just my opinion) while making sure probios are being given and possibly getting something that might be for possible bacteria. Before doing anything I would have your DAN run a stool test on bacteria, yeast, etc and also make sure a blood test for liver function is done. Once you have these done it will give you a better picture on how your son’s body is handling this. Guest guest
Also, wanted to ask how many mg of Valacyclovir you are giving a day. I saw that it say 50mg/ml but how many ml are you giving? If you are only giving 150 mg then that's too low. Most people use 750 mg with some going as high as 1000 and some as low as 500.CherylI hate to ask more questions but what probiotic are you giving? Guest guest
Be patient it can take 2 or 3 months before you see any results (other than side effects), I think everybody should try at least that long. We had to wait 65 days before seeing gains (and you can retrieve old desperate mails for those nasty regression days) but then we saw nice improvement and titers dropped a lot still on Valtrex so far after 6 months. I read you are using valacyclovir...I’ve several times Valtrex is more efficient than other valacyclovir so maybe try the real thing also (I hope it is because it is horribly expensive). Good luck Senta Thank you for all your ideas! Guest guest
Senta, I'm interested in knowing about what you meant by the Valacyclovir. My ds was on that and recently we started using a local pharmacy and my prescription says Valtrex now, I thought they were the same rx, just different companies. Anyway, just wanted to know what you know about it. Thanks. > > > > > > > > > > > Thank you for all your ideas! > > > > My son just turn 6 years ols and about 53-56 pounds > > > > He is on Amphotericin -B 3x-125mg/5ml > > > > 1x day diflucan 100mg/5ml > > > > and Valacyclovir liquid 3x day 50 mg/ml > > > > > > > > > > > > Does this sound right to all of you.
