Please consider other ways to get your son moving. Miralax is not a

good choice. There is a whole yahoo group dedicated to discussion of

this drug: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/miralax/ There are

lots of parents of ASD kids on the list, and lots of suggestions of

how to get things moving without resorting to Miralax (magnesium, C,

treating a deficient thyroid, etc.). For what it is worth, its

chemical structure is similar to antifreeze, and a number of people

develop tics and other icky stuff from it. I sure was glad to get my

kid off of it.

I would do some

further investigation before starting Miralax. Long-term use is a concern. I

think there is even a Yahoo group out there with people who had bad experiences.
