I don't think you should stop the Valtrex, but I'd start using Flagyl again. Once again our children are very similar... My son's stools have turned into dark green soup as well. He has become aggresive (he has always been as gentle as a lamb) and he suddenly uses his head to hit us with, even being aggressive with his sisters. He is having a yeast flare despite the SCD less casein, and I suspect bacteria overgrowth. I've been asking our doc for Flagyl for two weeks and yesterday she officially refused. She does not approve of Stan's ideas. I will be trying Lauricidin in the short term because I have access to it. But if I was having your gains on the Valtrex-Flagyl-Nizoral trio, I would definitely not stop. The rash sounds to me like good news even if it's not dramatic in appearance. I'm sure others with more experience will give your their takes on this... Hang in there! My son was on Valtrex before the standard recommendation was to be on an antifungal throughout the entire course of the Valtrex. He did 2 weeks of Diflucan before but no antifungal during. He went from a sweet happy little boy to a miserable kid who spent most of his time kicking, screaming and throwing full body fits. This was not his typical yeasty behavior. He is definitely a very yeasty kid. When he has yeast he is silly, itchy genitals, maniacal nightwakings, distended belly, loose stools, etc. There was no time for lab work. Because of the behavior, our DAN suspected bacteria. We stopped the Valtrex and put him on Berberine Complex. Within 48 hrs., all of the behaviors stopped and he was back to his old self. I haven't tried Valtrex again because the experience was so traumatic. However, if/when we do, we will be sure to be on both an antifungal AND antimicrobial two weeks prior and the entire time during the Valtrex cycle.

It sounds like clostridia plus yeast to me. Clostridium difficile is

a very oportunistic bacteria that usually overgrows right after you

stop an antibiotic, the same just happened in our house.

I don´t know how long you´ve been on Flagyl but I bet not long

enough, I´d go back to it and of course have an rx antifungal on

board too.

We had massive, huge regression from day 2 and lasted for about 35 days, then it took another month before the regression was over and then we had the gains (social and language and also titers down) If he reacts like that he is probably a responder and you should try to go on. Yeast can be incredibly high with this, so get some Diflucan (seems it’’s the antifungal that works best while on Valtrex) we stayed at 200 mg for more than 2 months and I know our DAN sometimes goes to 400mg with other patients. We did the first month on naturals alone and I consider it a mistake we should have switched to Diflucan after 2 weeks.

Good luck I know it’s such a bad time but it will be over in a few weeks and you will see the gains
