Guest guest
I also have a Body Solid home gym. It's been great to use that in combination with free weights. --- Heil wrote: > Check out Body Solid equipment...I have > some....sturdily built with a > lifetime (I believe) guarantee. > Alyson __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Thanks everyone I appreciate your input. What type of Bowflex do you have.
Guest guest
Hello, I'd recommend the Bowflex machine. I've had one for about a month, and I think it's great. It's compact and fairly lightweight, since it uses bow-resistance instead of plates. Switching between different exercises is pretty quick, and the resistance is very quiet and smooth. While I'm not a long term user, I'm confident that this will turn out to be one of the best purchases I've ever made. I'm new to this list, and I'm looking forward to doing my first BFL challenge. I discovered the book around the time I discovered Bowflex, back in October. I'd spent the last six months trying to lose weight by doing treadmill 20 min/3 days per week, plus fairly small dumbell work. With this plus " sensible " eating I'd lost 35 lbs. in 4 months. Unfortunately, I hit a " plateau " about 3 months ago, and my weight has not budged. I need to lose another 50 lbs to get to 170 lbs (which, since I am a 41 yr male, 5'9 " , should be about right). Weight training and higher protein in the diet will hopefully be the answer, particularly BFL-style. I'm looking forward to the moral support from this list. This seems like a very active, vibrant group, and that's just great. --Terry
